Our Purpose

It is our desire to strengthen, to revive and or build the foundation of  the entities within our communities.  We beleive that  a strong functioning network between the Church, the Home and the School are vital entities to the welfare of the members of our communities. We beleive that the doctrines of Christianity teach us that the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit  function as one with all power.  It is our goal to assist the Church, the Home and the School to network together as one with power to help reestablish the potential that exists within our communities.  We invite you to come help us realize this vision with your faith, experience and expertise.  To God be the glory for the power that exists in working together in a cooperative network.

OUR PASTOR

Let us introduce you to our pastor, Rev. Terry B. Land.  Pastor Land graduated with a BBA degree from the University of Houston in 1977. He graduated with a Master of Divinity degree in 1998 from the Houston Graduate School of Theology.  He had a 31 year career with AT&T and retired as an Implementation Engineer in 2009.  Pastor Land organized the Church Home School Baptist Church, December 18, 2007 in Missouri City, Texas.  The genesis of Pastor Land's vision was his completed thesis "The CHURCH the HOME the SCHOOL...a broken trinity. ©1998;  The thesis was accepted and approved by the Houston Graduate School of Theolgy falculty in 1998.  The vision is coming to fruition now and the CHSBC family is working together to bring this project to reality.

We the members of CHS Baptist Church would like to thank God for Pastor Terry B. Land and the vision that he has been given for ministry and our spiritual growth.

CHSBC YOUNG SAINTS MINISTRY

This ministry is designed for our children and our youth members.  We are very involved with the nurturing and the spiritual growth of our young people and their relationships in the church and the community. Their activities include choir, praise dance, plays and ushering.  We have monthly meetings which are governed by "Roberts Rules of Order" in which the youth learn how to lead.  The pastor teaches the bible lessons and discussions are open for everyone to be involved.  The motto of our Young Saints is ..."I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me".

 OUR MUSIC

CHSBC MUSIC MINISTRY

The music ministry of CHSBC is a high quality music ministry led by our sound and audio engineer. We are a young minstry that is working to build our choir and our music library.  The sound engineer is influential with the genre, style and dynamics in this music ministry managing well our praise and worship songs. "Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord". Psalm 150:6

OUR BROTHERHOOD

CHSBC PASTORS HELPERS MINISTRY

This ministry involves the men and boys of the church in assisting the pastor with services and outreach programs. "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity". Psalm 133:1

OUR MISSION

CHSBC LADIES OF GRACE MISSION MINISTRY

 This ministry consists of the ladies of the church that have a desire to minister to those that have needs within the church and as an outreach ministry to the community.  This ministry assists the pastor with communion services and the youth organization.  The Ladies of Grace ministry also has monthly meetings and they provide assistance to families and individuals through benevolence and visitations with the sick and the young families in need. Every fifth sunday the Ladies of Grace serve dinner after church for their church family and our visitors.  The theme scripture for the Ladies of Grace is, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost".  Matthew 28:19
